(English below) Dette var ingen blåmandag. Slik merker man.
This was a Monday they liked. It was a stunner of a day, and some of them even deared ski without their Gore-Tex jacket for a short period during the day! But it cooled down as the day passed, and they got a beautiful, frosty evening. It all meant they travelled 27,5 km east and are now at 2220 metres. They are just some days away from the highest point, and the High Polar Plateau really is evident. As we know, they have dinner together every evening. And tonight, as the ‘guests’ hurried back to their own tent, it was -32°C (-25,6°F). – They did not hang about… The temperature is no surprise, though. It is easy to underestimate the Icecap on Greenland, as it seems too many have done this year. Too many have had to turn around and evacuate due to frostbite, hardship and not being well enough prepared. It is a very real Polar journey. – So lets hope our friends continue to keep up the good work.
