(English below) De er av isen og vel fremme i det lille fangsstedet Isertoq etter et fantastisk innsats og dag.
Det ble en 17 timers dag og over 50 km på ski i meget tung, vår og dyp snø. Solen strålte fra klar himmel og de hadde en utrolig reise med brefallet.
Først dukket det opp noen små fjell på høyre side. Og noe timer senere kom de første nunatakene opp foran dem. Derfra gikk landskapet nedover i store velvinger, og med ett lå haver og tusenvis av isfjell langt under dem. En flottere avslutning på en kryssing kan neppe tenkes.
Vel nede av den faste Innlandsisen gikk de utover så langt den vår smeltende havisen bar. Derfra ringte de til Eva (kona til vår gode venn Hans Christian, legen i Tasiilaq). Hun ringte familie i Isertoq som kom ut med bår og hentet den. Mens de ventet på båten sank solen dramatisk og vakkert ned bak Innlandsisen.
Kvelden ble avsluttet med et stort fiskemåltid sammen i Isertoq- På mandag ettermiddag kommer rutehelikopteret hvor de har bestilt plass. Så bærer det til Tasiilaq hvor det nok blir lang dusj og stor avslutningsfest!

They are down, out and have arrived in the small hunting community, Isertoq, after an extraordinary day.
Some 17 hours after leaving the last camp. Some 50+ kilometres in very wet and deep snow. But in beautiful sunshine and stunning heat, the skis came off for the last time.
Fist they had spotted some mountains to their right. Then some hours later the first nunataks popped up on the horizon in front of then. From there the terrain vaulted downwards in huge waves. Then suddenly the ocean appeared with thousand of icebergs. – They ca hardly have wished for a more fantastic end to their Greenland crossing.
Well down and off the solid Inland Ice, they had to negotiate the spring melting sea ice as far as possible. At the edge, the called Eva, the wife of our friend Hans Christian (the doctor in Tasiilaq). She asked family in Isertoq to come and pick them up.
As they waited, the sun set dramatically and beautifully behind the Inland Ice. And some hours later hey enjoyed a big fishing meal with some Danes. – Tomorrow afternoon the helicopter will come to pick them up and they head for Tasiilaq, the ‘capital’ at the East coast. There, a shower and a big party awaits!
